Well, here I am, at my computer today. Oh! I have a quote: So my sister got, as a prize from the library’s reading program, this little sticker book that is supposedly 3-D. My sister, Grace, tries on the glasses, looks at the book for a minute, then looks up at the room she’s in and says, “Wow! Everything looks 3-D!” 😀
She told us a little bit afterwards that she did that on purpose to make us laugh. So don’t get the wrong idea about her, she is really smart, she just likes making people laugh!
Anyways, so far I haven’t really done anything, but sometimes summer is more about baking cookies with your sister than stuffing your days with trips and schedules. One thing that I’ve done a few times is make smoothies, I got a recipe from a book I like, but it required too much fruit. (Our garden didn’t have enough of any one kind to fill 3 and 1/2 cups!! Instead I lowered it to 2 cups!) It is from this book called 5 Ingredient Favorites! Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups (2 cups) fresh blueberries ( I’ve used boysenberries and another with strawberries, so whatever you want is good!)
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of thick Greek-style yogurt ( I used regular old vanilla yogurt!)
2 teaspoons of honey
10 ice cubes, crushed
Blend the fruit in the blender. Then add everything else and blend. The book says it serves two, but it serves more, depending on the size glass!
These taste so good, but I cut the ingredients in half to make one serving.
What’s new with you?
Oooooooh, I love ALL these photos!!! The textures are superb. 😀
Your pictures are amazing as ever, Emily. Keep it up!
The cookie pictures made me hungry. 😀
