Hardship

Hard times fall on everybody, good and bad people. There is no such thing as your life is better than mine, every person runs into really hard times at least once. Trials are  good for Christians because since we know God we can run to Him for help, but people who aren’t christian don’t know God, they can’t run to what they don’t know. I know when bad things happen to you, you wish that your life was perfect or easy, but really you wouldn’t want that. If your life was perfect then bad stuff wouldn’t happen, but you wouldn’t be called to God because you wouldn’t feel the need to ask for blessings or guidance. This sermon is written off of Luke 1:5-25, where God allowed suffering to a man named Zechariah and a woman named Elizabeth. They couldn’t have children, and in the old times, besides the fact that Zechariah and Elizabeth wanted children, people would mock anybody who didn’t have children. They grew old and one day Zechariah went to the temple and an angel appeared to him and promised him a child. Zechariah didn’t believe the angel and the  angel said that since he didn’t believe the angel, Zechariah would be mute until the child was born. (I skipped a little bit here so that I could get to the point that I have.) Growing up, the child, John, was already very well known because his parents were so old when they had him. That was preparation for when he got older and went on to baptise many people. (John the Baptist) God allows suffering for the greater good and so that we call out to Him for help, instead of worldly things. Here are some points to remember:

1. Suffering happens to even the most Godly people. (Jesus suffered many times, why do you think we deserve to be treated better than Jesus?)

2. Pain and sadness may still come your way, just as much as it did before you were a Christian.

3. All suffering is for a good purpose. (God uses it for your benefit.)

4. You will learn more about him through your trial.

5. Be thankful for your troubles and your victories!

6. EVERYTHING God does is for your benefit!!!

That pretty much finishes my blog post! Bye!
