Is Christianity Worth It?

Please read every word, if you read this! Okay so all you Christians out there are probably wondering something like: ‘Hello? Of course it is!’ or maybe ‘This isn’t what they should be teaching in church, don’t put doubt in non-christians’ minds.’ People who are Christian understand the importance of believing in Jesus, but you need to think of it this way to understand. People in general don’t want to waste their life, and non-believers view our religion as a waste of time. Think about, why would you want to spend your whole life focused on something just to have it turn out to be some false thing that didn’t exist. They don’t want to be ‘uncool’ by having a religion, yet little do they know lots of people are sort of awestruck when a kid actually has something that they stand for other than new phones or video games. (About the people with a religion already, I’ll get to them in a minute.) Okay, first of all we are talking about your eternal life right now, the decisions you make right now about your religion are affecting your life after you die. This doesn’t make you a christian, but is going to church once a week really too much? I know someone who doesn’t go to church because she doesn’t want to get dressed up! Isn’t that sad? Is going to the beach that important to you, so much that you would risk your eternal life? Come on people!

Some of you may be afraid of change, some of you aren’t christian because you are afraid that you are going to be made fun of. Unfortunately, yes that might happen, but you aren’t alone! God is with you, I’m with you, and every other christian around the world is with you! Here is a heads up on what might happen if you become a christian. (P.S. only 3 of these happened to me)

1. Ridicule and mockery from friends. (Some of your friends may not see your point of view of Christianity, which leads to point 2.

2. Friends may leave you.

3. Family might ridicule you. (non-believers aren’t always nice about what you stand for or believe in.)

4. You might have to give up a few friends. (Some of your friends may keep dragging you back into sin.)

5. Giving some things up. (Maybe you have a video game, book, or kind of music that you listen to that isn’t appropriate.)

6. You will have to ask the Lord to guide your life. (You won’t really be making your own decisions)

7. It will cost you the pleasure of sin. (Admit it, sinning often is fun or pleasing to us.)

So if you aren’t a christian you may be wondering ‘Well this is great, but I still don’t know if this is true, everybody says that their religion is true.’ I’ve got your answer and proof!!! Christianity is true because it is based on history and eyewitnesses! Thousands saw Jesus in his childhood, thousands saw him heal people or raise the dead, thousands more saw him crucified. How can anyone say that this isn’t true, how could they say that this is a myth, they would be defying history!

Listen, if I went up into the mountains and an alien came down and gave me a high five, then it left. I would come down from the mountain telling people about what I saw, right? I bet nobody would believe me, but if the same thing had happened and I had taken up 50 of my friends, and we came down, all telling the same story, people would believe us. Thousands of people saw Jesus, not 50, thousands. Everybody should be a christian! If you are not a christian and you want to be one, get involved in a church. If you are a friend of mine, talk to me about this next time you see me. Thanks for reading this! Have a good day! 😀

Wow! That is very deep/interesting! I didn’t really ever think of it that way.

Nice. You rock, Em…. and, if there is no God, then where do we get the silly idea that some things are “right” and some are “wrong”, anyway? Most people who decide that there is no God are nevertheless quite attached to the idea of “right” and “wrong”!
