Do we ever feel like we have enough?

Oh, well, I suppose we do during those summer moments when you’re too hot and you’re completely out of things to do. At least out of things that sound fun.

In general, we don’t feel like we have enough.

Finals week: You don’t have enough time to study, do homework, and still carry on with your other commitments in life. School breaks: You don’t have enough time to visit with all your friends, finish that pile of library books in your room, and do all your chores and sports. When will we ever get that time?

After high school is college, after college are jobs, after jobs raising a family and/or retiring… Even retired, people are very busy. (Plus those library books are going to have some serious fines due…) So when?

We will have this time after this. After life here.

After we move on, we are in eternity. That makes our time here seem even shorter, doesn’t it… But our choices and decisions here affect that eternal life. Today’s post is a reminder that we are not perfect. We will not make perfect choices, we will run into trouble and hard times. But we all need our Lord.

Without Him, our eternal life will be horrible beyond what I can describe. That awfulness will last forever too… So priorities are important, God is important, at the top of every to do list should be spending time with Him. Isn’t it amazing that a few minutes can save someone’s entire eternal life, just by accepting Him as Savior?

Even when it seems like you have no time for anything, even when it seems like you can’t keep up with your work load or that you are stressed you will fail something, just spend some time to pray or read the Bible. It always makes me feel peaceful and it clears my head and I know that God wants me to succeed. God wants you to succeed, He will not give you more then you can handle.

Use your time wisely and give some to the One who will give you rest, peace, and plenty of time.
