Before I Fall~Book Review

I finished reading Before I Fall a little while ago now and Sarah suggested that I review the book. This is a popular book, I see it advertised all the time on GoodReads, but that doesn’t make it a good book. Here is my review.

The Storyline:

What if you only had one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?

Samantha Kingston has it all: looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it turns out to be her last.

The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. Living the last day of her life seven times during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing

(from GoodReads)

What I thought of the book:

I did not like it at all in the beginning. I was going to put the book down, the only reason I didn’t was because I wanted to do a review on the whole book. Here is a tip for you if you are going to read it: Sam’s attitude is at it’s worst in the beginning of the book. She gets better instead of worse. Because of the ending, I enjoyed the book, but I seriously had to make myself read the first couple of chapters.

I found this book very touching, I love how Sam changed and grew in such a short time. When I first started reading I was offended by the ‘typical teen’ image that every one in the book seemed to have. Smoking, swearing, and being completely awful. But as the book went on I realized that the characters were deeper than that, which cheered me up because I realized that this book had a moral for teens and for adults.

Overall: I really liked this book, and even though I wouldn’t suggest it, it was very good. I wouldn’t suggest it because of all the ‘stuff’ in it. (such as smoking, swearing, drinking, etc.) Lauren did a great job with keeping all the ‘days’ interesting. Even in the mornings, when everything started out the same again.

Hope you found that helpful! Let me know if you decide to read Before I Fall!
